VINTAGE

Due to the unique origin and nature of our items there may be fading, slight imperfections and/or slight signs of usage and wear. This is to be expected with our vintage items and only adds to the character of each piece. We do not accept this as a valid reason for returns or refunds. We do our best to accurately photograph and document the colour, style and texture of each item. Many of our items were handmade decades ago using ancient techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation. This is the very reason why we love our items and what makes these items so beautiful and exquisite today.

EXCHANGES

If you need to exchange your item due to damages or a fault on our behalf then please get in touch to arrange this with us. This will be processed within 7 days of your purchase. Shipping costs are to be paid in full by the customer if items need to be returned to us.

ITEM DETAILS

All items are photographed to the best of our ability to depict the items true colours, texture and nature. Items can change in appearance in different lighting so please get in contact if you would like to see more photos and videos before purchase. We do our best to describe each item accurately with as much detail as possible. If there are noticeable imperfections (sometimes present in our vintage items) we will document it thoroughly.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

All rugs are washed and cleaned in Morocco before arriving to you. However, many of our rugs are vintage pieces so signs of wear and natural fading may be present. This is normal and considered part of the rugs unique beauty and story due to their age. Please consider the nature of the item/s you are purchasing. Most vintage rugs range from 80-30 years old.

We advise to vacuum rugs regularly to keep them clean as well as air them out from time to time in the breeze. Wool is mostly self cleaning but if spills happen it is best to get them up quickly with a tiny bit of warm water and a tiny bit of soap without too much rubbing or over soaking.

Our Vintage Boujaad Cushions are made from up-cycled Moroccan rug materials. Please do not machine wash- it is best to air them out from time to time and to spot clean any marks.

It is normal for rugs to shed bits of wool from time to time and a regular vacuum will help with this. This is also not considered a fault if small bits of wool shed from you’re rug.

We advise to keep cleaning to the very basics as natural dyes and vintage items do not mix well with chemicals- a professional carpet clean is the best option if you want a deep clean from time to time.

GENUINE ITEMS

All rugs are genuine Moroccan rugs- either vintage or newly made. All items are described in full detail in their product description. Our rugs are sourced directly from Morocco ranging from 30-80 years old for our vintage pieces. These rugs tell a rich story- mostly made by women in the Berber Tribes of Morocco, the Azilal Rocky regions and the Middle Atlas Mountains. Each rug is totally unique and handmade.
